Alexandra Bassett

Alexandra Bassett is the lead dog trainer and behavior specialist at Dog Savvy Los Angeles. Originally from Massachusetts, she has been working with dogs for over 15 years both as a shelter volunteer and a professional dog trainer.

Alexandra (also known as Lexi) has studied under World Champion Dog Trainer, Susan Garrett, and counts Andrea Arden and Dr. Sophia Yin as the other major influences on her training approach and philosophy.

She has developed Dog Savvy Los Angeles's breakthrough behavior modification programs for solving leash reactivity, aggression, and separation anxiety in dogs based on her studies of the teachings of Pat Miller, Patricia McConnell, and Grisha Stewart.

Lydia Hunter

Lydia Hunter began her professional career as a dog trainer by working at Paws Pet Resort, one of the top dog daycares in Orange County. She assisted the company's head dog trainer who introduced her to positive reinforcement dog training.

She specializes in new puppy set-up, manners training (basic obedience), specialty tricks, leash excitement, puppy and adult dog socialization, and resource guarding.

It is her life's purpose to act as the translator between dogs and their humans. Every day of training is a new adventure for her that she cannot wait to embark on with you and your beloved pet!
